I believe the practice of spirituality can be practical. In other words, we’re not required to always be in a quiet remote space away from day-to-day activity. Often, our spirituality is practiced in our daily activities.
One of the ways I work on my subconscious mind is to write messages on my bathroom mirror. That way, I’m looking at them every day for the rest of the calendar year. Sometimes I’m looking at the messages several times throughout the day.
For 2019, I have:
“Live moderately.” Which is my phrase for the year.
Unraveling: it’s a spiritual premise given to me by the Holy Spirit. It’s about unraveling the darkness from my heart and mind.
How can I become more of a man of God? I ask myself this question as I continue to research how I can let God’s love deepen in my life.
Strength in the calm: another phrase from God to remind me that I don’t have to lose my temper to express myself. I can be strong in His calm.
The practice of writing messages on my mirror feeds my subconscious mind. Advertisers understand the power of subconscious messages. By writing our own messages to ourselves, it’s as if we’re repeating to ourselves the message we need to know. Eventually, the messages take hold in our conscious mind and we make life changes that align with the meaning behind them.

That’s practical spirituality at work.
